Move your vehicle to higher ground: If a flood warning is issued, immediately move your car to an elevated area—such as the upper floors of a parking garage, designated private or public flood-safe parking zones, or high ground.
Use a waterproof car cover (Car Flood Bag): This is a large plastic bag designed to encase the vehicle; sealing the opening tightly helps effectively prevent water from entering the engine compartment and the car's interior.
Elevate the vehicle: Use a jack or concrete blocks to raise the car off the ground (suitable for shallow floodwaters).
Seal potential water entry points: If moving the vehicle is truly not an option, use adhesive tape to seal gaps around door edges, the hood, and the exhaust pipe; also, disconnect the battery terminals immediately to prevent electrical system damage.
